DESCRIPTION:The Arlington Museum of Art\, Arlington Cultural Tourism Council\, and Wheeler Bro’s Studios is proud to present the 14th instillation of the renowned group exhibition known as Ulterior Motifs. Conceived in 1999 by Jeffrey and Bryan Wheeler as a celebratory exhibition of Lubbock art and music\, this semi-regular show has gradually evolved into a wider presentation of prominent contemporary artists who live in or maintain strong ties to Texas. The artists represented in UM #14 work in a variety of mediums and styles. Themes presented address contemporary social\, political\, and ethical questions. Awaiting viewers is a high energy art experience that incorporates live music. The group of artists comprising this fourteenth installment are: Franklin Ackerley\, Maisie Marie Alfort\, B.C. Gilbert\, Jim Johnson\, Lucas Johnson\, Luis Jimenz\, Daniel Johnston\, Sharon Kopriva\, Charmaine Locke\, Chris Sauter\, Hills Snyder\, Gary Sweeney\, James Surls\, Bryan Wheeler\, and Jeff F. Wheeler. \nUlterior Motifs #14 is a must-see for those interested in contemporary Texas art. It offers a rare chance to witness a collection of established\, internationally-recognized artists alongside up-and-comers.

DESCRIPTION:The Arlington Cultural Tourism Council (ACTC)\, The Arlington Film Commission and The Arlington Museum of Art\, are proud to announce the Inauguaral Frame4Frame Festival – Film – Art – Music . September 15-18\, 2016. #F4FFest16 \nTickets: Music Only $60\, Film Only $60\, All-Inclusive Pass $100. $100 all-inclusive will include a free\, 20 oz. insulated Solo cup\, that will be refillable at the venues at a discounted rate. We will have tickets available to purchase online very soon! \nFrame4Frame will provide a first of its kind musical and visual arts forum dedicated to raising cultural awareness and appreciation for the diverse creative population that exists throughout this community.  This festival is committed to enlightening the public with a first-class\, international\, program\, through the contribution of art\, film and music\, educational workshops. Participants will be motivated to greater civic responsibility and making positive contributions that build bridges for bettering relationships between diverse cultures. This positive cultural arts experience will unite communities and bring about a greater appreciation of diverse cultures.  Frame4Frame festival will screen a diverse collection of films from both studios and independent filmmakers\, highlight local and national artist as well as feature well known musical artists and local and emerging acts.\nThere will be networking events for film enthusiast\, musicians and artists. Live music and art exhibits will be featured at venues around UT Arlington and Downtown Arlington\, Texas. \nAdditionally\, we have partnered with our local universities and other educational institutions to enhance the educational seminars and workshops that will accompany the other music\, film and art exhibit activities.  The Four Day Film\, Music and Art Festival will be held at venues in Downtown\, Arlington\, Texas.
