The Arlington Today crew gets downright giddy when we learn of stellar accomplishments by local young people. This week we are proud to give kudos to seven Sam Houston High School seniors who were recently awarded four-year $250,000 scholarships to Texas Christian University: Eniola Akinbo, Veronica Arrocha, Jonathan Sanchez Camacho, Christopher Gamez, Titan Henderson, Adeyemi Johnspon and Oyindamola Ogunhibe.
Each year, TCU awards scholarships to students at Title 1 schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex as part of the Community Scholars Program. With seven recipients, Sam Houston has the largest number of students receiving the award this year.
