Trinity Community Foundation builds on their legacy as the naming sponsor of the new YMCA Youth Program Center.
ARLINGTON, Texas (November 11, 2025) — The Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA is proud to announce that the Trinity Community Foundation, founded by longtime Arlington community supporters Bill and Shari Bowie, has been awarded naming rights for the YMCA Youth Program Center in Arlington.
Now officially named the Trinity Community Foundation YMCA Youth Program Center, the facility stands as a testament to the Bowies’ enduring commitment to youth, families, and the belief that communities grow stronger through love, play, and connection.
The Trinity Community Foundation has made a 5-year pledge to support the Y’s work in providing innovative youth programs focused on STEM, arts, music, recreation, and leadership. Their generosity ensures more children can experience the enrichment and belonging that define the YMCA experience.
“The Trinity Community Foundation [TCF] is honored to be aligned with the AMA YMCA and its new Youth Center. This facility in the heart of Arlington offers new programs and services to those families and their youth that can and will change lives,” said Bill Bowie, founder of the Trinity Community Foundation. “Working in the community, TCF sees this facility as a game changer for those most in need. Now there is a physical location we can direct youth to address their interests and needs.”
The Bowies’ relationship with the YMCA spans nearly three decades, beginning in the mid-1990s when Bill coached his son’s basketball team at the Y. That experience led to a lifelong partnership rooted in shared values: service, family, and faith.
In 2017, the YMCA honored the couple with the Bill and Shari Bowie Community Leadership Award, recognizing their exceptional dedication to helping others through organizations such as SafeHaven, the Salvation Army, Trinity United Methodist Church, the Trinity Sports Foundation, Men Serving God, and the YMCA. Through TCF, the Bowies also financially support dozens of local nonprofits, including the Foundation’s partners featured in its Play Day initiative.
Founded on the mission to “bring love, play, and connection to the people,” the Trinity Community Foundation focuses on promoting healthy child development, encouraging resilience, and connecting families to the support they need to thrive.
The Trinity Community Foundation YMCA Youth Program Center, located at 2200 S. Davis Drive in Arlington, now embodies that mission — a space where every child is welcomed, inspired, and empowered to grow in spirit, mind, and body.
