The inaugural UTA Athletics Roadshow is set to take place statewide during the final week of August. Director of Athletics Jon Fagg, select head coaches, members of the UTA Athletics department and campus staff will travel to Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Waco from August 26-29 – allowing UTA alumni and members of these communities to connect with UTA Athletics in a new and engaging way.
“The opportunity to get UTA Athletics out into the communities where so many of our alumni are is something we feel is very important,” Fagg said. “These types of events provide excellent ways to energize a fanbase and allow us as a department and a university to really immerse ourselves within each of these communities throughout the state of Texas.”
UTA supporters will get to spend time with UTA athletics and campus staff, hear the vision for the athletic department as it heads into the 2024-25 athletic year, and listen to select UTA head coaches about their upcoming seasons, including men’s and women’s basketball coaches KT Turner and Shereka Wright.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this first-time event because we have great alumni and supporters in all four locations,” Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development Ira Childress said. “This is a huge year for UTA Athletics and we’re looking forward to kicking it off by connecting with our constituents around the great state of Texas!”
