This weekend across North Texas, local elected officials are joining forces with The Salvation Army to raise money for its annual Red Kettle Campaign by bell ringing at local retailers throughout the region. To make things more interesting, the Mayoral Red Kettle Challenge is a competition between each elected official to see who can raise the most money for those combating poverty, addiction and homelessness – and they are relying on support from the community to win!
While out holiday shopping this Saturday, December 13, North Texans can support their local elected officials and vote for their favorite participant by dropping a donation in their Red Kettle in-person on Saturday or by donating online to their designated Virtual Red Kettle.
