If you’re in job-search mode, your oyster awaits at the The Arlington Public Library Job Fair, set for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20 at the East Library and Recreation Center (1817 New York Ave.).

Per Zoe Wainer of the Arlington Public Library, residents are invited to explore employment opportunities in fast-growing job fields. The fair will feature a LinkedIn workshop, resume help, and the chance to gain interviewing experience.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about the Library’s options for adult education, such as its high school equivalency (GED) program and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes.

Here are some more pointers from Wainer:

Remember to bring your resume!

Employers will be seeking to hire for job openings onsite. Some of the employers in attendance include:

  • Arlington ISD
  • City of Arlington
  • Six Flags Over Texas
  • University of Texas at Arlington
  • Plus more!

Library Resources

The Library has several resources available to the public that can be utilized before and after the event.

  • JobNow
  • Career Resources
  • Resources for Small Business Owners
  • Adult Education

There is no cost for employers or organizations that wish to participate. The event is free and registration is not required for attendees.
