Grand Marshal Rex Tillerson to Lead Celebration Featuring F-18 Flyover, Military Tributes, and Evening Drone Show
Arlington, Texas – Oct. 3, 2025 – The 2025 Texas Veterans Day Parade will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 5 p.m. in the heart of the Arlington Entertainment District, honoring the courage, service, and sacrifice of America’s veterans and active-duty military.
This year’s Grand Marshal is Rex Tillerson, former U.S. Secretary of State, Texas native, and longtime advocate for veterans. The parade will begin with a dramatic F-18 flyover and showcase a dynamic procession of military units, veterans’ organizations, ceremonial teams, and community groups from across the region.
“This is our second year producing the parade, and we’re proud to see it becoming a signature Arlington tradition,” said Parade Coordinator Kevin Donovan. “It’s a powerful moment for our community to come together, honor those who’ve served, and reflect on the values that unite us.”
The 2025 Texas Veterans Day Parade is presented by the City of Arlington, the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, and NBC 5/Telemundo. The event also partners with Toys for Tots, and spectators are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to be collected by Marines along the parade route.
Additional highlights of this year’s celebration include:
– A Veteran Services Area offering free resources and support for veterans and their families.
– A military vehicle showcase, providing hands-on exploration for attendees of all ages.
– A patriotic drone show at 7 p.m., immediately following the parade, illuminating the Arlington sky in tribute to those who serve.
The Texas Veterans Day Parade is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the full lineup of festivities and secure optimal viewing locations.
