Annual Snowman run

Where: Katherine Rose Memorial Park (303 North Walnut Creek Drive, Mansfield)
When: 8 a.m.
In a nutshell: The Snowman Run is a 5k race geared towards kids but open to all ages. Special prizes are awarded for best-dressed snowman. The event is timed, with prizes awarded to first, second and third places in each age division. Best of all, the race concludes with a seasonally appropriate “warm down” area complete with hot cocoa, s’mores and a huge fire pit. Dogs can walk or run alongside their owners but must remain on a leash – and they can be in the snowman contest.
