The Texas Rangers will not only offer some exciting baseball this month – the club also will host a trio of postgame concerts by noted musical acts, each performing shortly after the last out is recorded on the field.
Leading off will be Lonestar on Aug. 5. The country group has charted more than 20 singles on the Hot Country Songs chart, including nine that reached No. 1.
Then, on Aug. 18, MercyMe will take the stage following the game. Arguably the most popular Christian music band going today, MercyMe’s hit list includes “I Can Only Imagine,” “Word of God Speak” and “Here with Me.”
MercyMe, fronted by Bart Millard, has won eight Dove Awards, signifying excellence in Christian music, as well as earning mulitple Grammy nominations.
In the month’s final postgame concert, Rangers fans will get to see and hear Casey Donahew. This Texas-based country singer has produced seven albums since launching his career in 2002. His 2016 album, “All Night Party,” rose to No. 3 on the U.S. country music chart.
