Trey Yelverton, Arlington’s City Manager, was honored with the Mayor’s American Dream Award at the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce’s 19th Annual State of the City Luncheon on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The award, presented by Mayor Jim Ross, celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to the city’s growth. Yelverton, a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, has been a vital force in Arlington’s development for several decades, shaping both its infrastructure and community initiatives.
Yelverton joins a distinguished group of past honorees, including Carolyn Mentesana, Executive Director of The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, and Jean Jewell, Executive Director and Co-founder of The Green Oaks School. All have been celebrated for their lasting impact on Arlington’s future.
