Opening June 1, 2026, Caravan Court revives a familiar piece of Arlington history. Located on Division Street, the boutique hotel stands where the original Caravan Motor Hotel welcomed travelers along the historic Bankhead Highway, becoming a local landmark during Arlington’s postwar growth.
“Caravan Court is a passion project born from a deep respect for Arlington’s roots and its incredible future,” said Sam Mahrouq, Owner of Division Hotel Management. “By revitalizing this landmark on Division Street, we’ve returned a piece of history to our community while creating an upscale urban oasis where neighbors can cross paths with visitors from all over the world.”
Developed through a partnership between Valencia Hotel Collection, Division Hotel Management, and the City of Arlington, Caravan Court reimagines the classic motor hotel experience through a modern lens. The restored 1961 Caravan sign once again lights Division Street, serving as a visual link between the property’s past and present.
Inside the 143-room hotel, guests will find design elements inspired by mid-century art, architecture, and automotive culture. The property features The Vandy restaurant, Idle Hour Social Club, Caravan Swim Club, and Elora Sky Club rooftop lounge overlooking Arlington’s Entertainment District. Historic Arlington photographs displayed throughout the hotel help tell the story of both the city and the original Caravan Motor Hotel.
“We really wanted to steer away from the transactional feel of modern travel and give people a hospitality experience that feels deeply human and unhurried,” said John Thomas, General Manager of Caravan Court. “We’ve captured that classic 1960s soul through afternoons by our resort pool and evening drinks at the lounge. It’s about creating a true neighborhood gathering place where both locals and travelers feel like staying a while, rather than just making a quick stop.”
As Arlington continues attracting national attention through sports, entertainment, and tourism, Caravan Court aims to offer visitors an experience deeply connected to the city itself. Rather than simply placing a hotel within Arlington, the project was designed to feel woven into the community and its history.
“Caravan Court is part of a larger belief at Valencia Hotel Collection: a hotel should never feel placed in a city, it should live as the centerpiece of it,” said Doyle A. Graham Jr., President and CEO of Valencia Hotel Collection. “We’re a design-forward hotel with history in its bones and Arlington at the center of the story.”
