The National Medal of Honor Museum, set to open in Arlington, Texas, in March 2025, is nearing the finish line after two and a half years of construction and extensive planning. The museum, a celebration of courage and sacrifice, is designed to inspire visitors through stories of Medal of Honor recipients and promises to be a transformative experience for all.
“We’re so proud to be in Arlington,” said Chris Cassidy, President and CEO of the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation. “This project crosses every branch, race, and religion. Being in the middle of the country and a community that’s so supportive gives us a lot of energy.”
The museum will feature around 200 immersive stories, interactive exhibits, and spaces for educational programs tailored to all ages. “There’s so much richness in these stories,” said Jacqueline Kennedy, Associate VP of Education and Experiences. “They may inform students and their identities, helping them see who they are and who they might become. It’s a chance to inspire individuals, families, and communities to tell their own stories.”
For events, the museum boasts a versatile great hall capable of seating up to 400 guests for dinner, along with premium boardrooms, outdoor spaces, and a rotunda. “We’ve created a diverse portfolio of private event spaces available for everything from galas to community gatherings,” said General Manager Alex Resznik.
Memberships, starting at $120 for military and $200 for civilians, offer exclusive benefits such as early access, discounts, and VIP events. “We want this museum to be everyone’s museum,” said Mike Caldwell, Assistant VP for Military Engagement.
As construction continues, the anticipation grows for a sneak peek in March and the grand opening soon after. Arlington is ready to honor the past, inspire the present, and build a legacy for the future.
