‘Steel Across America’ & WTC Steel Beam Will Make Visit to National Medal of Honor Museum in honor of 9/11 25th Anniversary
On June 5 at 5:30 PM CT, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s ‘Steel Across America’ tour, the foundation’s signature event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11, will hold a special ceremony at the National Medal of Honor Museum, in Arlington, TX.
Spanning coast-to-coast through September 11, Steel Across America will feature a 16,000-pound steel beam recovered from the original World Trade Center, offering the public a rare opportunity to experience this powerful sacred artifact firsthand.
Steel Across America will travel more than 10,500 miles and make more than 35 stops in 21 states and Washington, D.C., visiting landmark locations, community gathering places, town squares, and major sporting events nationwide before culminating in its return to Ground Zero on the 25th anniversary of 9/11
At the invite-only event, local government officials and members of the National Medal of Honor Museum will ceremoniously receive the steel beam from Ground Zero. Together, they will commemorate the historic events of 25 years ago, reflect on the profound impact of that day, and pay tribute to the service, sacrifice, and resilience that continue to define its legacy — ensuring we Never Forget. A program and dinner will take place within the museum following the ceremony.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is honored to be welcomed by the Arlington community in shared remembrance to pay tribute to the heroes who answered the call on September 11, 2001, and honor those who continue to serve our nation every day.
