LAKE CHARLES— One celebrated the power of melody. The other embodied rock and roll rebellion. The Beatles vs. Stones show returns to the Arlington Music Hall on Friday, November 20 at 7:30 pm.
The nationally touring production recreates one of music’s greatest rivalries, pairing acclaimed tribute bands Abbey Road and Satisfaction – The International Rolling Stones Show in an evening packed with chart-topping hits, audience participation and classic British rock energy.
For generations, fans have debated whether the Beatles or the Rolling Stones were the superior band. Beatles vs. Stones turns that conversation into a live concert event, with the two groups alternating songs throughout the evening while friendly competition unfolds on stage.
Representing the Beatles is Abbey Road, a tribute act known for its authentic costumes, vintage instruments and faithful recreations of music spanning the group’s entire career. From the early excitement of Beatlemania through the groundbreaking studio years, Abbey Road captures the sound and spirit that made the Beatles a global phenomenon.
Taking the Stones’ side is Satisfaction, whose high-octane performances celebrate the swagger, attitude and blues-based rock that made Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and company one of the most enduring live acts in music history.
Throughout the evening, the bands trade hits, stories and playful jabs before joining together for a finale featuring some of the most beloved songs of the rock era.
Since launching in 2011, Beatles vs. Stones has performed more than 2,200 concerts throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, becoming one of the most successful tribute productions touring today. The show previously completed extended residencies at Harrah’s Reno and Harrah’s Laughlin.
Critics have praised the production nationwide. The Los Angeles Times called it “the most unique tribute show in decades,” while the Idaho Statesman wrote, “The crowd was on their feet screaming the entire time.”
